If you are planning a family getaway this might help you decide!
Where to start? Badger watching very entertaining, even to teenage boys! Walking up to the monument on the Langholm moor in the wind and the rain – exhilarating and wet! Rock UK wow! We must have done every activity available. We all have wonderful memories (and bruises) of family archery competitions, mountain bike challenges, kayaking. The house is very comfortable especially the master bedroom. Fabulous log fires, although I am not very good at lighting them and went through loads of matches. Sitting by the crackling fire curled up with book and a glass of wine made up for all the attempts at getting a good blaze going! On rainy days – there were a few – we either braved the elements and went out anyway or booked a family swim at Rock UK. All in all a really great family stay. Nearly forgot to make a special mention of Linda in the Copshaw Kitchen who opened up after hours for us and lavished on us her delicious and plentiful homemade food, after which we had to walk home!
